GrowRay Technologies, in partnership with commercial cultivator Jake Shockey of SPEnterprises in Michigan, performed and concluded a comprehensive comparative LED yield study between two identical grow rooms:
One containing all Grow Ray LED fixtures and the other containing all Double Ended High Pressure Sodium (DE HPS) fixtures. No supplemental or intra-canopy lighting was used, and supplemental CO2 was used.
Nutrient recipe in Deep Water Culture delivery was identical for each room, as was all associated cultivation infrastructure.
Dry Weight Yield
DE HPS (1,080W): 0.502 LBS/PLANT
GROW RAY LED (715W): 0.687 LBS/PLANT
OVERALL YIELD WITH GROW RAY LED: +36.92%
OVERALL POTENCY WITH GROW RAY LED: +3.2%
Per plant yield figures were averaged across the entire, identical grow rooms (estimate 16 plants each; low density)
Proper use of GrowRay LED, with of SOPs, typically yields 3+ LBS/Light and over 75g/FT2
The yield and potency study hypothesis and primary goal was to prove that Grow Ray Technologies’ LED fixtures, when specifically paired with the Company’s LED Whole-Systems Yield Optimization Protocols (SOP’s), would:
The test concluded in June 2020, with results that did exceed expectations: The Grow Ray 715W LED room produced substantially more dry-weight yield than 1000W DE HPS lighting.
